Robert COMBS, the son of Thomas COMBS was born January 1827 in Kentucky.[1]  Robert's wife, Elizabeth CAMPBELL was born abt. 1832 in Tennessee.[4]  In 1850 at the age of 23, Robert and his wife Elizabeth moved to Arkansas, initially settling in Marion County.[2]  Robert and Elizabeth had the following eight children: Sarah, Samuel, Jefferson, Alexander, Thomas, Henry, E. Millie and Jackson.[4,7]  Elizabeth died 15 June 1883.[8]  

In 1884, Robert married Francis "Famie" Elizabeth DIXON (b. 21 October 1846).[1, 9]  Together they had one child, Ransom.[1]  Robert died 6 June 1902.[2,10]  Famie died 20 January 1933.[9, 11]

Robert, Elizabeth, Jackson "Jack", Famie, Ransom and other descendants of Robert and Elizabeth COMBS are buried at Combs Cemetery.  

Sarah, daughter of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 30 October 1850 in Arkansas.[12]  There is limited additional information available at this time on Sarah COMBS.

Samuel, son of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 28 February 1852.[12]  Samuel was married three times and had at least two sons, Raymond and Robert.  Samuel died 21 October, 1926 in Springfield, Missouri and is buried at Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield.[13, 14] 

Jefferson, son of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 26 December 1854 in Arkansas. [12]   On 15 April 1883, he married Gertrude BARR and together they had two children, Bena and Maud.[15, 16]  Jefferson died 21 September 1919 in Sebastian, Arkansas.[17]  Jefferson COMBS and his family are not buried in Combs Cemetery.

Alexander, son of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 7 February 1857 in Arkansas.[12]  In 1878 he married Josephine HARVELL (b. 4 November, 1858 ).[18]  Alexander died between 1910 -1920.  Josephine died 20 September 1942 and is buried in Ellis County, Texas.[19]

Thomas, son of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 9 January 1859 in Arkansas. [12]   He married Mary Elizabeth CYPERT (b. abt. 1853) and together they had four children: Walter, Jasper Newton, Bertha Mae and Effie Elizabeth.[20]  Thomas COMBS and his family are not buried in Combs Cemetery.

Henry, son of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 22 April 1862.[12, 21]  In 1883 he married Lou Ida Francis CONRAD (b. abt. September 1862).[21]  Together they had eight children and ultimately moved to Oklahoma.[22, 23]  Henry and Lou Ida are buried in the Rush Springs Cemetery in Grady County, Oklahoma.[24, 25]

E. Millie, daughter of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 6 March 1865 in Arkansas. [12]    There is limited additional information available at this time on Millie COMBS. 

Jackson "Jack", son of Robert & Elizabeth COMBS, was born 26 November 1866. [12]   On 24 February 1887, he married Nancy Lee CONRAD (b. 6 October, 1867).[26]  Together they had thirteen children.[27, 28]  Jack, Nancy and seven of their children (Floy, Mary, Sallie, Charles, Ralph, Jackson "Joe" Jr. and Harlen) are buried in Combs Cemetery.

Ransom, son of Robert and "Famie" (DIXON) was born 5 January 1885.[12, 29]   On 25 February 1904 he married Hesky Ann MAYFIELD (b. 28 August 1880).[30]  Together they had one child, Robert Jasper COMBS (b. 6 August 1906) who died as a child on 10 January 1914.[31]  Ransom died 12 September 1938 [29, 32] and Hesky Ann died August 1964.[33]  Ransom, Hesky Ann and Robert Jasper are buried in Combs Cemetery.
